The Center for Consumer Freedom published a full-page advertisement in The New York Times, referring to the Vick case and accusing rival organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) of hypocrisy and animal euthanasia. The advertisement asked, ‘Who’s Killed More Animals, Michael Vick (8) or PETA (14,400)?’ The accompanying text of the advertisement further reads, ‘PETA loves to point the finger at others when they should be looking at their own record of killing more than 90 percent of the animals left in their care’.
Speaking over the advertisement CCF Director of Research David Martosko said,
PETA has shamelessly used the horrific Michael Vick case to pad their group’s coffers, even though their track record of slaughtering thousands of helpless, adoptable animals is far more damning.
In addition, the organization has cited documents of Virginia State Veterinarian showing that between 1998 and 2005 PETA killed more than 14,400 dogs, cats and other animals.
Bad people to kill animals like that.

To the author,
I would like to note that there are countless animals left in people’s hands who are not taken care of..in particular not spayed/neutered. This creates a mass of animals that suffer endlessly...they keep on multiplying and we are doing nothing to help their situation. So tell me, proclaimed animal lover, do you think it is better to keep on overcrowding animals in cages, giving them but the bare minimum..? If so, then you enjoy you ham sandwich, my friend. The point here is that you are not looking at the big picture. Billions of animals suffer each day, be it one as ”cute” as a cat or as ”ugly” as a pig. Please take a meaningful look at the world around you before you start to make assumptions. We, as the dominant species, should try to prevent the suffering inflicted on other species and, unfortunately, sometimes that may equal to eliminating an individual if it means helping an entire race.
Best,
Agnes
