The famous singer Beyonce Knowles came under fierce criticism after billboards and newspapers, in Australia, shown her smoking cigarette with an old-fashioned cigarette holder. Anti-smoking group, Quit, has complained to the Federal Department of Health, alleging that the ad has clearly breached Tobacco Advertising Prohibition Act. The anti-smoking group argues that the advertisement could be seen as promoting smoking product, which is against the law.

However, tour promoter has reportedly stated that the image was taken from the previous album of Beyonce and it was approved by the singer’s management and the record company Sony BMG. Moreover, the government establishment has not taken any decision so far regarding the ad.
