Baywatch stars would definitely cringe at the sight of wrestler-like men clad in itsy-bitsy briefs and masquerading as taxi drivers. Noble message or otherwise, the FOX Sports’ ad reeks of the channel’s ostentatious bid to project its ‘no driving after drinking’ stand. A small amount of credit, though, can be offered for a valiant effort at breaking free from mundane trends. No blood, no gore and certainly no broken heads presented in an obnoxious display of superficial concern! This fresh take on drunken driving certainly merits a fair amount of appreciation, maybe not for the execution but for the ‘out of the box’ thought. If you ask me, I would rather drink and forcefully barf to drive back home rather than get driven by 7-foot behemoths who appear more menacing than death itself. A pretty damsel in a swimsuit offering a lifejacket would have been a more inviting proposition, I say!
