The dearest mouse of the kids. Everybody loves this mouse. Even the mouse potatoes love this affable mouse. This is Mickey mouse, the family friendly cartoon character. But he is all set to become mischievous in its new incarnation.
In the new video game incarnation, Mickey will appear as more youthful, more funny and more mischievous. Epic Mickey, designed for Nintendo’s Wii console, is set in a “cartoon wasteland”, where forgotten and retired Disney characters live, including Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who last appeared in a cartoon in 1951.
Actually, Mickey was a wild child when he first appeared in 1928. He played practical jokes, he pursued his girlfriend Minnie aggressively, and in Steamboat Willie, he vented his anger on an undeserving parrot. But after the 1930’s Wall Street crash, Walt Disney mellowed Disney’s character and made him a family friendly creature. Now, Mickey is going back to its old self.
But, the question is, will people accept this mischievous Mickey?
