Creative Brilliance Is Cyclical And Contagious Too!
Alpheus | Apr 18 2008

What’s all the ado about? Two conceptually identical ads - one ‘pleasurable’ from a chocolate giant and another ‘disturbing’ from an NGO. Contrasting though they are, the similarities are something you just cannot ignore. Call that creative coincidence or smart plagiarism, one can’t but help appreciate the amount of effort that has gone into creating two visually brilliant ads, especially with regard to the treadmills representing the cycle of life (or death?). While one soothes your senses with its joyous radiance, the other evokes a sense of empathy for the suffering multitude in Cambodia, Africa and Indonesia. To be fair to both, creative brilliance is perhaps cyclical, too.
