A cross-section of the organ donation industry reveals a fundamental flaw - the absence of adequate awareness-creating campaigns. We have always known that it’s a good thing to donate body parts, but there has always been a disconnect between morality and empathy in this case. JWT’s campaign for Red Cross China, therefore, comes as a welcome break for those of us who believe organ donation is much more than an investment you make to buy yourself a place in heaven. We leave in a co-operative society where survival is a subject of inter-dependence and hence, we need to view this ‘virtue’ as a responsibility. Save lives, donate organs!
