Hispanic TV and radio ad to touch $5.5 billion mark by 2010

Hispanic advertising growth has been predicted to outpace the general market trend as it is estimated to reach around a huge $5.5 billion mark in gross advertising revenue by the year 2010. According to a study conducted by Kagan Research on the economics of Hispanic radio and television predicts bigger revenue growth curves for cable nets in the next few years, projecting a growth of 32 percent from 2002 to 2010, while 12.5 percent growth rate has been predicted for broadcast networks.

The Kagan report extensively explores a wide range of issues that will impact the growth of Hispanic media in the U.S. market. The study also concluded that Hispanic-Americans have a lower multi-channel penetration rate if compared with the general population; however, it is projected to grow to 71.7% in 2010.
