Love a tourist: Ad campaign for locals

The Pinellas County, in an innovative ad campaign will try to make the resident of this beautiful place understand that tourism brings in economic prosperity for the country.



The ‘Love a Tourist’ campaign is a brainchild of the county’s Tourist Development Council, which is all set to spend $30,000 to educate the residents on what the industry actually means to them. Residents have a problem with the incoming tourists since tourists are responsible for traffic jams and other growth related issues. The money has been raised from the tax the tourists pay during their stay in the county.



The campaign will also highlight how tourism supports local festivals and other high end restaurants etc.
