Omnicom goes to China, acquires majority stake of Unisono Fieldmarketing

New York-listed world’s biggest marketing and advertising company Omnicom Group Inc has acquired a majority ownership interest in China based Unisono Fieldmarketing International Ltd. for an undisclosed amount of money.



To strengthen its direct marketing network Omnicom’s this acquisition of Unisono Fieldmarketing will give it a point of purchase capabilities (some say by 20000 point purchase) through satellite mapping for multinationals and local clients. It currently has offices in 25 major cities in China. So, Omnicom is bound to gain some edge there in the ever growing BTW market.



Field marketing does a broad range of merchandising, event and promotional services at the point-of-sale.



Omnicom which is a part of DAS group owns advertising brands like BBDO, DDB, and TBWA, media-buying-selling firms like OMD and PHD.
