Onitsuka Tiger: Advertising through sculpture
Balendu | Dec 29 2006

Onitsuka Tiger has launched a print advertisement campaign to promote its new range of sneakers in Europe. The company has created a 1.5 meter long sculpture made out of Japanese collectibles, which has been exhibited throughout the Europe to launch its tiger range. The sculpture seems to be made of many small Japanese toys that might have helped people to know that the brand hails from Japan.

It is difficult to ascertain whether this advertisement has been effective in Europe, especially in print. However, while displaying the sculpture, it might have attracted considerable attention out of curiosity. The campaign is credited to Strawberryfrog.
