Shocking image? Truth is ugly in animal rights campaign
Arpita Mukherjee | Jun 19 2008

To create public awareness perhaps the best chord to strike is the human conscious even if it takes a horrendous image to display the truth. Walking away from the nude celebrity adverts to urge consumers to stay away from fur clothing, AnimaNaturalis has chosen to depict the glaring reality of the inhumanity carried out on animals while stealing them of their natural sheath. The carcass of a dead animal stripped of its fur coat with the inscription – “That is what remains after your coats”. Let the fashion conscious be aware of the inhumane aspect of adorning themselves with fur coats. Only ugly adverts could dare to show the truth.

I don’t dispute the idea behind these ’ugly’ advertisements.. What makes them ’ugly’? because they are not aesthetic enough? You have to shock people into action. Probably, people must also know they eat carcasses, when they eat meat.. It is not limited to wearing fur.. It is also about eating that juicy piece of chicken... A vegetarian lifestyle is the best religion one could follow
