Skydiving: New Honda Accord advertising stance
Arpita Mukherjee | May 31 2008

With the product market packed with goods that look more or less similar in the eyes of the uninitiated, to standout in the crowd advertising is the only recourse. Hackneyed adverts are hardly an eye catcher nowadays. What is required is a splash of ingenuity. This is exactly what the new Honda Accord ad has achieved. Instead of treading on the normal terrain of the automobile ads, the Honda ad has entered a new territory unusual for a land carrier – the sky. 45 skydivers formed a series of shapes including the alphabets H, O, N, D, A over the Mojave desert to display the new features of the Honda Accord. This 3-minute ‘difficult is worth doing’ live TV ad will break a new ground in the ever-changing world of advertisement.
