Sony's innovative Matroska ad portrays easy identity change of PS3
Bradley Wint | Sep 23 2008

Sony’s new Playstation 3 ad has caused quite a stir among many people. The new print ad, created by the TBWA Madrid ad agency, features a beautiful lady within the shells of 3 fat men in the form of the very popular Russian Matroska doll. The point of this ad was to express the fact that someone can easily change their identity in a game, on the PS3. Some people have expressed disgust, while others see it as an innovative type of advertising. From what I can see, what Sony has tried to portray, has clearly been demonstrated in this advertisement. However, they might want to be careful as to which countries they use this particular ad in, so as not to offend anyone’s cultural beliefs.
