The Lung Association: No matter what you call it, its still smoking
Balendu | Jun 14 2007

This is an interesting anti-smoking print advertisement campaign launched by Prince Edward Island Lung Association to outline the flimsy reasons smokers extend to for smoking cigarettes. The campaign was actually directed at occasional smokers under the age of twenty-five. The campaign aims at conveying the fact that whatsoever ground people take to smoke in order to show they rarely do it but it still remains injurious to health. The advertisements are showing different excuses of smoking people generally resorted to on cigarette packs.

The advertisement moves on to conclude that it is still ’smoking’. The presentation of the campaign is extremely weak and feeble and the basic idea struggles to come out to be convincing enough. However, the campaign represented a fantastic art direction. The text of the ad reads, ‘No matter what you call it, its still smoking’. The campaign was developed by Extreme Group, Halifax, Canada.
