Tree-nation: plant a tree virtual or real
Balendu | Mar 19 2007

Tree-nation has launched this advertisement campaign to draw people’s attention towards how desertification is adding to the misery of people. The campaign was launched to support its program of plant 8 million trees in the hearth of Niger, Africa. The campaign urges people to plant trees online to create awareness. The people of Niger, the poorest country on earth, are badly affected by the desertification of forests. The campaign is seems to be inspired by Google-earth as it gradually close down to specific area where trees are planted.

The advertisement campaign is not exactly visually impressive but it has delivered a very strong message in a lucid form. In addition to it, persuading people to plant a tree virtually is actually an exercise to increase people’s participation. The main idea behind this interactive advertisement was that to invite people’s indulgence.
