Vodafone 'Time theft' ad: Make the most of now

This is the latest television advertisement of Vodafone as a part of the next stage of its campaign to promote mobile Internet. The advertisement. ‘Time theft’, is showing an overworked executive struggling to find time for his partner. The ad shows the frustration level of a person when he repeatedly fails to spend time with his woman. Every time he tries to go out at lunchtime to see his partner, French actress Caroline Ducey, he is driven back to his desk, as they are about to meet.

The advertisement also seems to have marked a major shift in approach of Vodafone towards its marketing strategy. Dominic Chambers, the head of brand and marketing at Vodafone, said, ‘the Vodafone brand perhaps lacked emotional engagement so we totally reviewed our strategy and now have a more disciplined use of media’.
