Volvo: Life is better lived together

Volvo has recently launched an online advertisement campaign on a dedicated site to promote XC70. The campaign has also marked the first campaign under the latest brand theme ‘Life is better lived together’. In order to underline the fact that people can take the four-wheel drive everywhere, 70 XC70’s were placed on the most rugged, the most beautiful and the most remote areas all over the world.

The contest was to discover all locations using Yahoo Maps, which is integrated into the campaign site. To start with locations are easier to find but it gets tougher later on. To help people out some clues are provided.

The basic idea seems to have been increasing people’s engagement or participation of potential customers to attract them for the product while enticing them by showing exotic locations.

The effectiveness of the campaign will naturally be wide ranging as it sought customer’s engagement through the help of widely used medium. The campaign was conceptualized and created by Euro RSCG 4D Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The ad were really great! The message that they want to deliver to the customers were very clear and it proves the advantage/benefits of having one. Plus it draws the attention of the reader.
