WattWorld: Why make the effort?
Balendu | Jul 28 2007

This hilarious advertisement campaign was launched by WattWorld to promote its Electric Bikes in Switzerland. The campaign taking a humorous approach aims at conveying that the products need no effort from driver to get activated. As driving a bicycle needs efforts and this bike runs on batteries therefore it virtually needs no efforts from its riders. The advertisements are showing some situations where persons been exemplified for taking no effort to be involved in activities such as bull fight, judo and so on. However, entire portrayal of events is actually hilarious.

The presentation of the campaign is undoubtedly impressive and humorous and effectively communicates its message. Though the campaign presents a nice example of exaggeration of the idea but not all advertisements seem to be appropriate for the product here such as advertisement featuring dog. Therefore, the execution part slightly falls short if compared with the remarkable and innovative idea. The punch line of the campaign reads, ‘Why make the effort?’ The campaign was created by McCann Erickson Geneva, Switzerland.

lol...brilliant ads. i especially like the one with the bull fighter with the gun. excellent ad concepts as usual.

Electric bike literally creates the opposite experience- silence, stress release, health and fitness, adventures So by getting on bike whenever possible, you are doing something wonderful for both yourself and the world.
