Will online ad revenues overtake TV ad revenue in near future?

This time around, people are ceaselessly speculating and debate over the issue of future of TV advertising. Few analysts such as Scott Karp have staunchly predicted that the TV advertising would collapse like house of cards. In the meanwhile, McKinsey has speculated that the TV advertising by the year 2010 would be reduced to one third as effective as it was in the year 1990.



Since online medium has greater maneuverability in respect with the online medium that offers many choices at single platform, certainly it has the ability to match TV advertising.



On the other side of the story, Google’s latest deal with Viacom has indicated the trend that how TV content are being assimilated with the online on-line content in order to increase their revenue.
